This type tankless water heaters can't be used to heat a pool because the chemicals required for Pool's devices can damage the water heater's components.

A: When the ambient temperature drops below 32°F and the machine is not connected to power
or gas, it's necessary to drain the water from the water heater. This precaution prevents damage to
the heat exchanger.
